Speed mentoring event

This week we had the “speed mentoring” event where we had the opportunity to get insights about our app.

First, we met Galit: She is A product leader that brings wide experience in product management B2B2C, with a deep understanding of mobile/web communications and SaaS.

She pointed out that we need few “default” options, to help out users and guide them through the app.

She offered to out the user into an experience of a “map”, where he goes through stages, and can also “zoom-out” and see the bigger picture.

Galit talked about notifications, do we want our users to be noted? And how do we motivate our users?

Second, we met Omer: An independent consultant and mentor in the areas of disruptive innovation:

He offered us to be more focused on a few decisions in the app, not letting all kinds of decisions to be made.

We need to think about the complexity people go through while making a decision, what should they do when the options are to close one another?

Then, we met Gilat: an animation director.

Gilat offers tho make it simple and give instructions to the user.

Give the user the opportunity for 5 arguments top.

Give the user the chance to choose again after taking the decision as he might regret it.

Finally, we met Hagit and Liron from Joy Venture:

They offered us to think about the business model for this app.

Few of the mentor’s points really helped us in the progress of building the app:

We decided to take the app to a “playfull” place and create some gamification in the app.

We added a few default options for each decision

We limited the decisions for 2, and both are related to studying.

We are starting to check the possibility of helping the user in case there are to options that are “close” to each other. ( by finding researches regard to it).

We are limiting each argument to 3 options top.

We feel this helped us get more insights about the app, and we feel we have a lot to go through and practice in order to make this app more accurate
