First prototype & user testing

We began with the wirefreams and prototype process on April 10.

Today a month later we feel that we done a long and great process once we began to get better feedbacks during the user testing and from the comments we get from the mentors.

We will describe on this post and the following the process we done.

10-20 April: first and second draft

We talk with Noa and Eran at the milab during the exam period and understand how we want our product to feel like. After a brain storming we decide we want that the user will decide how long he would like to watch and that we would like to focus on videos and podcast.

At that time we decide that we want to surprise the user with the content according to data we will know about him from the on boarding.

The on boarding we created includes welcome screen, favorites topics screen and get started screen.

First feedbacks from our mentors

We show our mentors the first prototype and get the following feedback's:

1. The big button at the home screen is not clear - "What is Yizing?"

2. The UX we make for the time selection is not good - we talk about creating a clock instead.

3. The Video screen is not good enough. Discuss the option to add a "like" button and display a count down.

4. On boarding screen - the favorites topics is not good enough because not all the topics have the same size.

We changed the screens according to the feedback's we got as you can see here:

First users testing

We schedule a meeting with 5 potential users via Zoom because of the Corona virus.

We asked them before the meeting what their interests. For each user we created a prototype link includes 2 videos according to their favorites topics.

Each user testing takes 30 minuets.

This is a summery for the feedback's we got:

1. "The clock is too complicated" - 4/5 of our users weren't understand what they need to do, where they need to tap and why.

2. "The count down make me feel stress" - 4/5 of our users would like to know how much time left but not all the time.

3. The last screen is OK But not GOOD. The users tell us that they see the information they expect but it doesn't looking good.

4. They would like to choose what to watch.

5. The on boarding is not looking good - the guy even look like a pedophile.

We done changes according to the users testing.
